Clare Tourism Conference

In 1989 Clare Tourist Council organised their first national tourism conference in conjunction with Clare County Council. It was held in the West County Hotel, Ennis on the 24 and 25 November 1989. The theme for that first conference was 'The Tourism Explosion - Implications for Ireland'.

Since then an annual conference has been organised, taking place in November each year. The conferences have addressed a wide range of tourism issues like 'Tourism for the '90s', 'Tourism & the Environment', 'Let Tourism work for You', 'Keeping up with Changing Times', 'The Role Played by Local Authorities in Tourism' and so on.

This years conference organised in conjunction with Clare County Council took place on Friday 23rd & Saturday 24th of November 2007 in the Falls Hotel, Ennistymon, Co. Clare. The theme of the conference was 'Tourism for Changing Lifestyles'. The papers presented at the 2007 conference can be downloaded above.
